MTP-5

The MTP-5 Temperature Profiler is an autonomous, all-weather, unstaffed measurement system that provides information on temperature profiles up to a height of 2000 m and does not require the radiosonde data to restore the temperature profile.

MTP-5 operates on the ground of the revolutionary technology of remote atmosphere probing, measuring temperature profiles up to a height of 2000 m and temperature in the atmospheric boundary layer up to a height of 2000 m, starting from the earth's surface.

MTP-5 EFFICIENTLY SOLVES THE FOLLOWING TASKS:

  • Representing data on a temperature profile up to a height of 2000 m;
  • Forecasting weather hazards;
  • Wind shear control;
  • Controlling the type of temperature stratification and temperature inversion characteristics;
  • Measuring the turbulence coefficient and the mixed layer altitude;
  • Forecasting fog;
  • Forecasting icing;
  • Forecasting ice rain;
  • Regional and mesoscale meteorological forecasts.
