AWOS

The Automated Weather Observing Station (AWOS) is designed for measuring the main atmospheric parameters offline, as well as for processing, transferring and displaying obtained information to support meteorological service.

AWOS is a mobile and highly effective system for monitoring meteorological information with a high precision displaying it online. The impeccable quality of products is granted by our highly-skilled professionals. 

AWOS INCLUDES:

  • Measuring means of surface meteorological parameters (atmospheric pressure, air temperature, air humidity, precipitation, wind direction and speed);
  • The device for the measurement data building of surface meteorological parameters, the execution of control commands;
  • The receiver of meteorological measurements, short-term storage, processing and coding;
  • The transceiver for transmitting measurement results and receiving commands from the receiver of meteorological measurements;

Measured meteorological parameters:

  • Atmosphere pressure, hPa: 600-1100;
  • Air temperature, °C: from -60 to +50;
  • Wind speed measurement range, m/s: from 0.5 to 60;
  • Wind direction measuring range, °: up to 360. 

It is possible to connect ceiling and visibility range sensors.

AWOS OPERATING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Temperature from -50 °C to +50 °C (air temperature sensor from -60 °C to +50 °C);
  • Relative humidity up to 100% at a temperature of + 35 ° C.
  • AWOS is designed in accordance with the requirements of State Standard 20.39.304-98 and is resistant to various extreme weather conditions and stably operates in different climatic zones.
